Review Go to Sleep, Gecko!

This notorious storyteller from Seattle is back with yet another multicultural offering. This folktale is from Bali and features a grumpy gecko that can’t get a good night’s sleep. After many discussions with elephant he realizes that the natural harmony of nature should not be interrupted and finally gets some rest. This tale is perfect for reading aloud in a storytelling setting with its bright watercolor illustrations and rhythmic, repetitive text. MacDonald is a pro when it comes to telling a good story with all the elements required to entertain a young audience.
