Review The Hidden Feast
By Bob Spear
Heartland Reviews July 24, 2006

The barnyard animals gather for a feast after a wonderful party thrown by their neighbors. All are disappointed when a bowl of cornbread is set in front of each. In fact, rooster goes home in a huff, while the rest of the animals choose to be polite and make the best of what they see as a bad situation.
Imagine their surprise when all find wonderful foods hidden under the cornbread topping. To this day, rooster always scratches deeply for food, making sure he never misses out again.
This picture book emphasizes the need for good manners and the importance of looking deeper than what's on the surface. We rated it five hearts.
