Geraldo Valerio
Geraldo Valerio was born in Brazil in 1970. He graduated from the School of Fine Arts, at the Federal University of Minas Gerais. He received a Master of Arts degree from New York University in 2000.
He has illustrated many books in Brazil, Portugal, Canada and the United States. His most recent work is "Do You Have A Hat?" by Eileen Spinelli, published by Simon & Schuster Books for Young Readers. He also contributed to the Marlo Thomas' book Thanks & Giving All Year Long.
Forthcoming publications include When You Are Happy by Eileen Spinelli (Simon & Schuster), Nannycatch Chronicles by James Heneghan and Bruce McBay (Tradewind Books), and Conejito: A Folktale From Panama; by Margaret Read MacDonald (August House).
Geraldo lives in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada where he enjoys walking along the ocean and watching otters, seals and herons.
